About these tests
- What can I test here?
- Your monitor (dead, stuck and bright pixels, backlight bleed and IPS glow, the refresh rate it's really running at), your headphones and speakers (left/right channels, bass extension, treble roll-off, phase), and your game controller (stick drift on each stick). Each test ends with a verdict and what to do next.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Every test runs in a current browser using built-in web features — full-screen display, Web Audio and the Gamepad API. Nothing is uploaded: results stay on your device.
- How accurate are browser-based device tests?
- They're reliable for what a browser can observe — whether a channel plays on the wrong side, what refresh rate the browser renders at, how far a stick rests from centre. They can't replace lab measurements of colour accuracy, response time or frequency response, and each test says which parts are estimates.
